Lionel Messi and His Two Sons Attend Cesc Fabregas's Son Baptism

Barcelona star Lionel Messi and his two sons attended the baptism of Cesc Fabregas's son, the Monaco star's son Leonardo, was baptised, with his family watching on, Messi withdrew from the Argentina squad because of a groin injury.

Barcelona star Lionel Messi was in attendance as Cesc Fabregas' son was baptised with the old team-mates enjoying some family time during the international break. 

Fabregas' son, one-year-old Leonardo, was baptised, while the Monaco midfielder's daughters Lia (five) and Capri (three) were also present.

Also in attendance were Fabregas's wife Daniella Semaan and her sister Suzanna.

It was a special occasion for the Monaco midfielder and his family as his son was baptised

Messi attended with his two eldest sons Thiago (six) and Mateo (three). 

Messi was able to attend having withdrawn from the Argentina squad due to a groin injury.

The 31-year-old suffered the problem as Argentina were beaten 3-1 by Venezuela in a friendly on Friday.

Messi and Fabregas are close friends having played together in the youth ranks at Barcelona and later in the first-team when Fabregas rejoined the Spanish club in 2011. 

Messi has enjoyed another remarkable season - he has scored 39 goals in 37 games for Barcelona across all competitions.

He will hope to be fit when Barcelona return to action on Saturday with a home game against local rivals Espanyol.
